Jefferson Lab Upgrade Receives Approval

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Sept. 15, 2008. The US Department of Energy’s Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab) today received approval from DOE to begin construction on a $310 million project that will provide physicists worldwide with an unprecedented ability to study the basic building blocks of the visible universe. This is great news for the SPARRO Group at Regina that is working on the GlueX Project, the flagship of the upgrade.
